Let's draw a cat in a sitting position in 5 stages
- First draw a circle. This will be the head of our cat. Next, draw triangles symbolizing the ears.
- Draw the upper and lower parts of the cat's body. To do this, another circle is drawn under the head, and an oval below it. These figures connect smoothly.
- In front, draw lines for the animal's front legs.
- Let's return to the cat's head. We draw triangles on the sides so that the muzzle takes on a slightly elongated shape. Inside the circle, draw eyes, nose, mouth and mustache.
- Draw a fluffy tail to the body. Our handsome cat is ready.
Basic principles used when drawing a cat by children
Drawing, like other activities (roller skating, music lessons, reading), requires training. Beginning artists should know that:
- Any drawing is created using basic shapes, which are square, triangle, circle, oval, rectangle. Children 5-6 years old are explained that lines are drawn clearly along the cells, trying to get smooth edges, and they are given time to practice drawing individual figures.
Each animal or object has certain proportions. Children are told that a cat's head is smaller than its body, and its legs are shorter than its tail.
It is more convenient to draw a cat from the head. They study what figures it consists of and try to portray a happy or sad face.
Sleeping cat.
If the young artist has not yet achieved accuracy in drawing figures, they are encouraged to use a ruler. Further:
- draw a large circle and a small one inside. They try to maintain the proportions 1:2 accordingly;
- two triangles (ears) are attached to a small circle; inside they represent eyes, a nose (an inverted triangle), and a mouth. Add a mustache;
- draw on the tail.
