How it all began…
From the very beginning, we decided to approach the matter seriously - no handicraft production: it is not clear where and it is not clear from what. Why should a client pay for someone’s prestigious name, expensive office and advertising? We wanted to make food that would be tasty, healthy and affordable. Nothing new, but it’s not as simple as it seemed at first glance.
The future brand is based on a scientific approach. I didn’t want to be associated with a kind aunt who rattles pots in the kitchen and at the same time cooks something for her Vaska. In general, feeding from the table is the scourge of the Russian market. For a long time, people did not want to understand that they can make cutlets themselves, but a dog or cat must eat other food, albeit not so attractive from a human point of view.
We worked on the recipes for a long time and attracted the best specialists. The Aller Petfood plant was chosen as the manufacturer - the only specialized European enterprise in Russia where production safety meets human standards. To be taken literally: only products that are suitable for making food for people are used as food.
What fit into three paragraphs took almost 5 years of painstaking work, with its own difficulties and victories. But it was not in vain, and now we are rightfully proud of our food. Attitude towards criticism
Criticism spurs you on and keeps you on your toes. Until recently, the only big drawback that was found in Probalance food was the E-preservatives in the composition, although they are harmless and in minute quantities. People eat much more of them per day than a dog or cat eats in a month. It was possible not to react, but we began to look for a replacement for E. What does it mean to look for a replacement? Essentially, retest the entire recipe. It was necessary to test how the food behaves throughout its shelf life: under extreme storage conditions and in different climates. The food was frozen, kept in damp rooms, and even sent north. This epic lasted 3 years. Several times they wanted to give up everything, leaving the notorious “yeshki” in the composition (secretly: it’s easier and more profitable for the manufacturer with them). But we reached the end and now we are absolutely honest about the 100% natural composition. There was a case when skeptical buyers, seeing preservatives on the bag (at first, the food with the new composition was in the same packaging) and naturally not taking our word for it, sent the food for examination to Europe. And nothing prohibited was found. Now these are our most loyal customers. Thanks to them for their criticism - it motivates us to change and grow qualitatively.
From economy to premium
We produce economy and premium food and are preparing to launch a brand in the super premium segment. And while everything is clear with a premium product, questions are often asked about an economy product. “How can you?!” It’s scary to imagine what was poured into this food!” Imagine, we can. For such guardians of justice, the answer is ready: “Do you always eat in gourmet restaurants and eat marbled meat?” There are tens of thousands of people who want to feed their pet normal food, but so that the family budget does not burst at the seams.
